I wanted to make a horror style Downton Trailer, but because I’m not a horror fan, I kind of had to get into the mood first, and so I decided to do a trailer re-cut instead.

This is by far my favorite Sybil and Tom story. It’s so brilliantly written with such a captivating plot, and although it’s a modern AU, the characters are spot on and perfectly translated into the 21st Century.

Summary: After a brief, but passionate encounter, Tom Branson, Irish speech writer for the Labour party, and a man with a troubled past, and Lady Sybil Crawley, youngest daughter of Britain’s conservative Prime Minister, find themselves facing a future together neither of them were prepared for.

Under the merciless eyes of the public and fighting against both their troubled minds, they not only have to discover their feelings for each other, but also who is loyal and who means well.

This was a bit of a nightmare to make, not being able to use clips from Downton. It worked for Robert, but it wouldn’t have worked for Sybil and Tom. I hate that I had to use a Downton clip for Mary, but I couldn’t get my hands on any of Michelle’s contemporary work. And the lack of clips I have of Jessica and Allen didn’t make it any easier. It’s been a while since I’ve made a trailer, and I’m not really happy with the result.
